More July Fun

The week that we got home from Oklahoma, Drake's baseball team was off to the SIJBL World Series.  Talk about some excited little boys.  I'm not going to lie, these kids looked like the bad news bears in the beginning of the season.  At the World Series, it was the best of three games.  We won the first, lost the second, then stomped the other team at the third game, making our boys the World Series champs.  Talk about proud parents!  The team was made of such wonderful little boys.  They were all sweet as can be.  We made some great friends and enjoyed spending a lot of our summer with these families.

The next weekend, we went to Kentucky Lake for our annual weekend with our friends.  We rented a cabin this time and it was a blast.  Well, according to the pictures, the whole weekend was a blast!  It rained all the way there and we really thought we wouldn't even get to go on the lake.  It was storming by the time we got there and I'm pretty sure it rained about 12 inches.  After playing some games and eating lunch, the storms suddenly disappeared and we had a wonderful afternoon on the lake.

 Clearly, it was a blast.
The guys enjoyed dancing on Deon's boat.

 Love them!

That night we went to the King's camper and had dinner and played games.

On Sunday we decided to go tubing.  I was really afraid I was too old for that so I wasn't going to participate.  After a little convincing, I decided to give it a try and I never wanted to stop.  SO MUCH FUN!  Of course, with Wes' lake experience, he showed us all up with his tubing skills, jumping over the other tube and knocking people off.  What a fun weekend!  Can't wait for our next trip!
